Skills

Its easy to forget that not long ago, there was a time without Walmart, Amazon and the like. There was a time when practical people made things for themselves. Useful things, pretty things, things they needed. They hunted, fished and processed animals. They gardened and preserved food. They crafted simple decorations to beautify their homes. They handed down priceless, home made heirlooms to children and grandchildren. Most valuable though were the day to day skill sets and the work ethic it took just to get by. Did you know you can make your own bars of soap? Your own laundry detergent? Your own wine? By creating your own products at home, you can step outside the pollutive, low quality, destructive systems of the global economy and make things that are ACTUALLY good for the environment. Don’t be be a slave in a fascist scheme to create fake green industry. Make a real difference and improve the quality of your life along the way.

“Be not simply good – be good for something.” – Henry David Thoreau
